The DC cinematic universe has evolved across multiple eras. The earlier DCEU (DC Extended Universe) began with "Man of Steel" in 2013, leading to interconnected films about iconic heroes. From 2023 onward, a new continuity — the DCU, rebooted under James Gunn and Peter Safran — is in development. Here's a release-based watch guide including live-action films, series, and relevant spin-offs.

DCEU Phase (2013–2023)

A shared universe exploring the rise of the Justice League, the fall of heroes, and battles with world-ending threats. The tone is darker, more mythological than Marvel’s, with multiple character-focused stories.
